Local authorities have also taken enforcement action. In March alone, 581 people were fined a total of Rs 1,17,100 for violations.
East Coast Railway has acknowledged the complaints and taken action in response to the concerns.
The condition highlighted in the video has renewed attention on the challenge of maintaining cleanliness at railway stations, with calls for stronger enforcement and greater public awareness to prevent public spaces from being marred by paan and gutka stains.
